It is almost beyond me that I can sit here in 2008 and assume that if I were in the wrong place at the wrong time and were killed by police officers (even in plain clothes), they would not be held responsible for my death. That’s still the price of Blackness.

There’s a poem connected to this theme written several years ago that directly applies. I’m so sad and so disgusted.
