Yellow orange green gold red

And nearly brown

Coexisted on the third full day

Of Hoosier Autumn

With tall, thinning pines

Swaying in the background

 

Our sweetly deciduous forest

Shimmers cleanly, clearly

And warmly

Much warmer than the winds themselves
